6. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

  • For Data Entry Operator (DEO) / DEO Grade ‘A’ in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Staff Selection Commission, and Ministry of Culture:

    • Must have passed 12th Standard in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or equivalent.

  • For LDC / JSA and DEO / DEO Grade ‘A’ (in all other Ministries / Departments):

    • Must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.

10. SELECTION PROCESS

  • General Intelligence: Both verbal and non-verbal types; Semantic Analogy, Symbolic/Number Analogy, Trends, Figural Analogy, Space Orientation, Venn Diagrams, Punched hole/pattern folding, Problem Solving, Emotional Intelligence, Word Building, Coding & de-coding, Numerical operations.

  • Quantitative Aptitude: Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions; Percentages, Ratio & Proportion, Square roots, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Time and distance, Time and work; Basic Algebra, Linear Equations; Geometry, Circles, Chords; Mensuration; Trigonometry; Statistical Charts (Histogram, Bar-diagram, Pie-chart).

  • General Awareness: Current events, everyday science, environment, History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Policy, and Scientific Research related to India and neighboring countries.

Tier-II Syllabus:

  • Mathematical Abilities: Advanced coverage of Number Systems, Arithmetical Operations, Algebra, Geometry, Mensuration, Trigonometry, and Statistics & Probability (Mean, median, mode, standard deviation, simple probabilities).

  • Reasoning and General Intelligence: Comprehensive verbal and non-verbal reasoning, analogies, series, pattern completion, critical thinking.

  • English Language & Comprehension: Advanced vocabulary, grammar, cloze passages, and reading comprehension (minimum two paragraphs: one story/book-based and one based on a current affairs editorial/report).

  • General Awareness: Environment, society, current affairs, scientific aspects, Indian geography, history, economics, and policy.

  • Computer Knowledge: Organization of a computer, CPU, input/output devices, memory, Windows Explorer, keyboard shortcuts; Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Web Browsing, Email, e-Banking; Basics of networking and cyber security (viruses, worms, trojans, firewall).

13. DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

  • Live Photograph: Real-time capture via webcam or the mySSC application with a clear background, no caps, no masks, and no spectacles.

  • Signature: Scanned JPG format, 10 KB to 20 KB (dimension: 6.0 cm width x 2.0 cm height or 4.0 cm x 2.0 cm).

  • Valid Photo ID Proof: Original ID bearing Date of Birth (Voter ID, Driving License, PAN Card, Passport, School/College ID, Employer ID, etc.).

  • Matriculation (10th) Certificate: Proof of Date of Birth, Roll Number, and Board details.

  • Educational Qualification Certificates: 12th class marks sheet / provisional certificate showing completion on or before 07.10.2026.

  • Category / Caste Certificate: SC/ST (Annexure-IX), OBC Non-Creamy Layer (Annexure-X), or EWS Income & Asset Certificate for 2026-2027 (Annexure-XIV).

  • PwBD Disability Certificate: Annexure-XI / XII / IA, if seeking scribe/compensatory time.

  • Ex-Servicemen Undertaking: Annexure-VIII and discharge documents.

14. HOW TO APPLY ONLINE

  • Step 1: Visit the official Staff Selection Commission website at [https://ssc.gov.in](https://ssc.gov.in) or download the mySSC mobile app.

  • Step 2: Click on “Login or Register” to complete the One-Time Registration (OTR).

  • Step 3: Complete the registration using identity verification and personal details, and generate your Registration Number and Password.

  • Step 4: Log in with your Registration Number and password, then locate “Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination 2026” under the “Latest Notifications” tab and click “Apply”.

  • Step 5: Review pre-filled details from OTR and indicate highest and qualifying educational details.

  • Step 6: Select your three preferred examination centers within the same SSC region.

  • Step 7: Select your medium for the Computer Based Examination and Typing Test.

  • Step 8: Capture a live photograph using the portal module/app and upload your scanned signature (10–20 KB).
